Chapter Committees

Our committees drive the mission of the Denton-Lewisville (TX) Alumni Chapter — from youth development and scholarship to community outreach and brotherhood.

Each committee is chaired by a chapter brother and supported by volunteers committed to achievement in every field of human endeavor. Brothers interested in serving on a committee should contact the chapter at info@dlakappa.org.

Guide Right & Kappa League

Oversees the chapter's youth mentorship programs including Kappa League, college prep workshops, and the DLA Guide Right initiative for young men in Denton County.

Membership & Training

Manages the chapter's membership process including interest meetings, reclamation of inactive brothers, Membership Training Academy (MTA), and new member orientation.

Finance & Budget

Maintains the chapter's financial records, prepares the annual budget, oversees dues collection, and ensures fiscal accountability in partnership with the Keeper of Exchequer.

Scholarship & Education

Administers the chapter's scholarship program, coordinates academic recognition events, and supports educational initiatives including the Achievement Academy program.

Community Service & Outreach

Coordinates the chapter's community service calendar including the annual Day of Service, Back to School Drive, Juneteenth programming, and partnerships with local nonprofits.

Plans and executes chapter events including Founders' Day, the Achievement Scholarship Gala, fellowship gatherings, and special programming throughout the fraternal year.

Manages the chapter's website, social media channels, email communications, photography, and digital presence to keep brothers and the community informed and engaged.

Bylaws & Parliamentarian

Ensures chapter operations adhere to national fraternity guidelines and local bylaws, advises on parliamentary procedure, and manages governance documentation and chapter amendments.

Long Range Planning

Develops the chapter's strategic vision and multi-year goals, evaluates chapter performance metrics, and recommends initiatives to strengthen the chapter's impact and sustainability.

Supports and honors the chapter's elder brothers, coordinates Senior Kappa recognition programming, and ensures the wisdom and legacy of longtime members remains central to chapter life.

Promotes voter registration, civic participation, and political awareness across Denton County communities, partnering with local organizations to amplify the chapter's advocacy efforts.
